Knowledge and practices of families in the management of dengue in Saravena – Arauca

This article is based on the research carried out on families in the management of dengue in the rural and urban areas of the municipality of Saravena - Arauca, whose. Objective: To identify the knowledge and practices implemented by families in the management of dengue, in the Saravena[1]Arauca municipality. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study with qualitative and quantitative variables based with grounded theory. Results: The instruments used in the research showed that families have adequate practices in the prevention, control and management of the disease, in addition to this, it shows that care from a family perspective becomes a favorable stimulus for health recovery. Conclusions: The knowledge that families have is evidenced in a positive way, these are reflected in the prevention practices that they exercise within the family nucleus and in the community.
