Body techniques and social norms: de Mauss to Leroi Gourhan

Abstract

Leroi Gourhan was a disciple of Mauss. If this teaching it was not done by a sociologist in the strict sense - but was Mauss a sociologist in the strict sense? - can we incite to reread his work according to a transversal perspective, capable of restoring all its acuity to the problem of consistency social of the technical  phenomenon.
