Abstract

Popular wisdom says that if something is repeated with quite often, some foundation has. Ears and attentive eyes, in recent years we have followed the outbreak of an intense debate about the school curriculum of physical education. Fact that deserves praise. Beyond  to signal a certain concern with what is being done in schools and with the citizen to be trained, draws attention for the unusual, because, historically, the discussion remained restricted to the relevance or not of the component. Well, if we accept that different experiences train people differently and that any decision about the educational trajectory is, first of all, political, we will have the explanation for the discursive disputes that characterize the current scenario. After all, what is at stake in moment is the definition of what should happen in the academic meetings of physical education, in other words, the at stake is what physical education to teach.
