Editorial policy
Anti-Blast Policy
GEON is governed by the regulations of the World Intellectual Property Organization, which applies to Colombia through decision 351 of 1993 of the Cartagena Agreement Commission and Law 23 of 1982, authors' investigations must be their own production , unpublished and original. They should not have plagiarism or self-plagiarism. To comply with this process, we use Ithenticate to obtain an originality report that must be less than 25%.

Open Access Policy
The authors retain the copyrights (copyright) and assign to the journal the right of first publication of the work, this work is under international license Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 of open access. No commercial use of the original work or the generation of derivative works is allowed, the work can be shared as long as the author is mentioned, it is not done under lucrative purposes, no remixes are made and the same license is maintained (by-nc- nd)
The opinions contained in the articles are the sole responsibility of their authors and do not necessarily reflect the thinking of the Journal.
This journal provides open access to its content, based on the principle that giving the public free access to research helps in a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Peer evaluation process
Each of the GEON Journal periodicals in its editorial policies carries out the revision of contents in Simple-Blind mode, by a group of mostly international expert peers, who will verify the high academic and scientific quality of the articles submitted to their Consideration, based on the concept of academic peers, the Editorial Board of the Journal issues the final decision on the publication or rejection of the articles and the observations made by the arbitrators are transmitted to the author. In case of acceptance, the author agrees to return the article within a maximum period of two weeks. The author must give account of the changes made in the final version and the Editorial Committee will review that these have been made properly.
In case of dispute of any kind, it is the Editor, together with the Editorial Committee, the instance that resolves the situation and delivers final verdict on the matter.
Average rejection rate of the last four numbers 12%.
Processing or publication charges
GEON journal does not make any kind of economic charges for the processing or publication of the articles sent to it. In accordance with this, the journal maintains an open access policy, which exempts authors from payments regardless of their nationality or citizenship.

Ethics for the editor
- Must be responsible for everything published in the journal, striving for continuous improvement, ensuring the quality of publications, maintaining the integrity, academic history of the same and advocating freedom of expression
- Decisions to accept or reject an article for publication must be objective and based solely on the importance, originality and clarity of the object of study
- Must maintain a cordial and respectful communication with the members of the editorial team, scientific and editorial committees, authors and reviewers.
- Must encourage responsible behaviour and discourage bad editorial practices.
- Must act as guarantor of the confidentiality of the information contained in the manuscripts received and in the evaluation comments.
- You must take corrective action in the event of plagiarism or other misconduct.
- Can remove published articles in case of a proven malpractice.
- Strive to convince the publisher to provide timely resources, expert guidance.
- They should provide guidelines to the reviewers about what is expected from them, including the need to handle the material delivered in a confidential way.
Ethics for authors
- Authors must have a commitment to the ethical and responsible development of their research.
- The research work must be their own and original production. They should not have plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
- The articles must be coherent with the content of the work, that is, the research problem identified must correspond to the objectives of the article, the methodology, the results and the conclusions.
- They must send in a transparent and original way all the documentation and personal data required by the editorial team.
- They must provide the use of permissions if resources of other authors were used (images, etc.).
- They must confirm that the manuscript proposal has not been sent to another journal.
Ethics for reviewers
- The reviewers must be objective when evaluating the articles, the review should be based solely on the importance, originality and clarity of the study content together with the rigor and scientific quality.
- Their comments should be argued always showing respect for the work of the author.
- They should report the editor if they detect similarity between the work they are reviewing and any other published work, or if they have knowledge of a similar work under review.
- Reviewers will not have access to the data of the authors of the article they evaluate and will not be able to demand information about them.
- They must send the evaluations in the time stipulated by the journal.
Conflict of interests
The author in the articles should not demonstrate a position for or against what it is being investigated, they will always show objectivity while keeping the practices of the COPE publication ethics committee intact.
Privacy and confidentiality policy
All necessary measures will be implemented to ensure that the contents of the articles are confidential throughout the process prior to publication, therefore, the editor will not expose the information of the articles, the status of revision, acceptance or denial of the Publication and reviewers cannot in any case discuss their work publicly or appropriate the ideas of the authors.
The identification of information of organizations and companies should not be published in the article without prior written consent for publication.
Data that the readers provide in the registry, will only be used for the database of the journal and for sending contents of the publications.
In the event of a dispute of any kind, it is the Editor, in conjunction with the Editorial Committee, who decides on the situation and delivers a final verdict.

In order to have backup and preservation of the digital files published, GEON journal uses drive and OJS.
