The present research studies the effects of a music therapy program to preserve episodic memory and body recognition in a group of female patients from the different symptoms of Alzheimer's disease (AD) at a cognitive and motor level. A qualitative study was carried out with a group of four women diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease (AD), GDS 1,2 and 3, compared with two healthy users. The music therapy intervention focused on episodic memory and body recognition is carried out through musical-sound body activities, in a period of three months with two weekly sessions of one hour, the four receptive music therapy methods, composition, improvisation, recreation and Some aspects of the Plurimodal Approach model, from body activities, emphasis is placed on general dynamic coordination, visual-manual and visual-pedic coordination, rhythmic adjustment and laterality, among others, through play activities. Three categories were created: episodic memory, body recognition, group cohesion, and a descriptive analysis was performed. The research includes theoretical foundations on neurodegenerative diseases, dementias, Alzheimer's disease, memory, body recognition, music therapy, among others.
